JULY/AUGUST 2011

Dear Co-Laborers,

It does not seem like two months have already gone by since our last letter, but it has. We are rejoicing in what the Lord continues to do. These past two months have been quite busy due to many things that are taking place in both the ministry and personal life.

To begin with, the changes that are being made at both the colony and the church in town have been encouraging. At the church at the colony we have seen new faces and first time visitors. This has been great, but also the fact of having Ely and Luciano do the services on the Sundays that we do not go out is a blessing. Here in town the church continues to go forward with the men and young people that are helping out with the services. It is a blessing to see God working in the lives of His people. The Bible Institute continues to go strong as well.

You will recall that in our last letter we mentioned the Douglas’s were coming for a visit and also seeking the Lord’s direction in their lives concerning a deaf ministry. Well they came and were with us for almost 2 months. They made a lot of contact with the deaf in our city. Pray for them as they seek the place that God would have them work in Brazil and also as they raise support for the work that God has for them.

As many of you already know, Kelly’s dad passed away. They placed her dad on hospice, and she had bought tickets for a 3 week visit. The day before she was scheduled to go back, we got the call of his passing. It was a very difficult time. We were able to get Philip, our oldest son, last minute tickets. We would like to thank all of you for your prayers, emails, cards, and calls. Also thank you for all of you that helped out financially with this.

Update on the court case - The police chief has heard all the accused, Stephen, Kelly, Adilson, and Josefa. He has thrown out Kelly as an accused so she will not have to take part in anything else. Praise the Lord! We now have to wait for the process to go to the public prosecutor to see if he thinks there is a case. If he does we will be notified and will have 15 days to get a defense up. If he thinks there are no grounds for this case he will notify us of that and then file the case away. Please pray with us about this. We have done nothing illegal. This is nothing more than the work of our adversary trying to get our focus off what we are trying to do for the Lord. We do want to thank all of you for your emails and prayers concerning this matter.

Kelly and Philip returned on the 27th from the states, and without stopping to catch their breath jumped right into the work. On a personal note, I cannot thank God enough for the family that He has given me with a heart for the work like they have.

Thank you for your prayers and monthly financial support. UNTIL HE COMES

In His Love,

Stephen, Kelly, Philip, Hannah, Joshua, and Benjamin Doolittle
