MAY/JUNE 2011

Dear Co-Labourers,

It is with great joy that we come to you once again to report of the great work that God is doing here in Rio Branco, Acre.

Let us start with the work at the colony.  As of next month, August, we will be moving the services to Sunday.  The services now are held on Saturdays because of the distance for us to travel and the responsibilities of the church and Bible Institute in town.  By moving the services to Sunday we are praying that we will see a greater turn out of people.  Also instead of only having services twice a month, we will have them every Sunday.  We will still be going out twice a month, but God is using two of the men to continue on with the services when we are not there.  This is only happening because God is raising up men to help out more in HIS work both at the colony and in town.  The Sundays that we go out to the colony, due to the distance, it would be impossible to be back for the Sunday evening service.   A young married man by the name of Vitor will be in charge of the evening services with the help of Walber with the music.  This is so exciting for us, because as church planting missionaries we plant a church and then work ourselves out of that job to start another work.  Some of these men that are taking over leadership responsibilities are studying at the Bible Institute.  The young people of the church have also been helping.   It has been exciting to see them involved in handing out tracts and the young men giving devotionals on Sunday morning.

Our family is doing well.  The children are out of school and enjoying the time off.  The three oldest are staying busy giving music lessons to some children and teenagers from the church. We have also had some company.  The Keller Family returned to the field and stayed with us a few days. Right now we have Michael and Ruth Douglas with us.  You might remember we took sign language with Ruth while in the states on furlough.  They will be with us until August 10th.  So even though we are technically on school break it has been a bit busy.  But busy is always good.  On a personal note we would like to ask you to pray for Kelly’s dad, Paul Teas.  He has been very ill.  He has been in and out of the hospital many times, a bit of a roller coaster ride.  This has not made things easy for Kelly.  Please pray for him.

Once again we ask you to pray for us and the works here.  God continues to do great things and we continue to see souls saved.  We believe HE has many more great things to do.  All of this is because you have prayed and given sacrificially.  We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers and financial support.  May God continue to bless you.

In His Love,

Stephen, Kelly, Philip, Hannah,

Joshua and Benjamin Doolittle
