SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2011
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
These past two months have been very busy ones as we make the necessary adjustments in the direction of turning both of the churches into the hands of the national workers. As we continue pressing onward the adversary is hard at work doing what he does best. I am thankful that we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus.
CHURCH IN RIO BRANCO
We are excited to see God continuing to work in our lives and in the lives of the people. This church is doing well. We have seen spiritual growth; we have also had a soul saved recently. We have had several first time visitors, which is a blessing and an encouragement. This church has really put forth a great effort with visitation, especially handing out tracts. In the first part of October we had a special day for the children and had 75 children in attendance. Once again God did a great work and we were able to present the gospel in a very simple and clear way. Pray that we may see fruit form this. The last Sunday of October was a fifth Sunday. The young people took over all of the morning and evening services. It was a joy to sit back and see God use the young people like this. The preaching was outstanding.
CHURCH AT GUAJARÁ (COLONY)
This church continues to go forward as well. Now that the services are on Sundays we have seen some new faces. Brother Ely and Brother Luciano take care of the services when we are not there. They have been doing a great job. Brother Luciano does the preaching and brother Ely does the singing. We also had a special event for the children on Children’s Day and had many first time visitors.
BIBLE INSTITUTE
We are about to wrap things up for this year. This has been a learning experience for both the students and me. We are already looking at next year’s schedule, so please continue to pray for us. God has been so good and we have seen the students grow. Our goal at the beginning of this school year was not only to have a greater knowledge of God but also allow God to transform our lives into His image. It is good to see God at work.
FAMILY
The family is doing well. We had three children that had birthdays in the month of October. The children are growing up and becoming a greater help in the work here as well. Philip and Hannah continue to give music classes to two other young people in the church.
Thank you for your prayers and faithful support toward the work that God is doing here.
In Him,
The Doolittles
